  • Account data: name, email address, hashed password, invite code used at signup.
  • Course content: any text, images, videos, attachments and AI-generated material you create or upload.
  • Usage data: log entries, IP address, browser/device information, and feature interactions, used to operate and improve the service.
  • Communications: messages you send us, including review comments and support emails.

3. How we use your data

  • To provide, maintain and secure the Lumeo platform.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your course content to train third-party AI models.

4. Lawful bases

We process personal data on the basis of: (a) performance of our contract with you; (b) our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the service; and (c) compliance with legal obligations.

5. Sub-processors

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to deliver the service, including hosting and database infrastructure, transactional email delivery, and AI text/image generation. Each is bound by appropriate data-processing terms.

6. Retention

We keep your account and course data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting or security reasons.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@learnlumeo.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

8. Security

We use encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage at rest, row-level access controls, and audited authentication to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours safe.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice.
